Unfortunately, a major bug has been discovered with the new patch. A long-dead team was able to will itself back into existence somehow which uh, shouldn’t happen. The gates of the void are too strong for that, surely? … Nevermind that. I have no choice: 
After one final tournament, the balance patch will be rolled back. I’ll then let Season 8 continue normally. I consulted a lawyer and as it turns out neither Discord nor Twitch hold a copyright on Dark Mode after all, so it will be thusly restored. I’m really quite disappointed as I feel like the initial results were promising and that we were seeing unparalleled balance compared to the previous version of FFTBG. I’ll be hard at work figuring it out, though – I suspect there may be a rogue sentient AI that managed to crop up deep within the code of the balance patch. Due to the difficulty in purging such things, there’s no ETA although I’m hopeful I may be able to complete this task by this time next year. In the meantime, we’ll just have to deal with the normal imbalanced FFTBG. Sorry again, and like always, thanks for watching and supporting the stream despite these hiccups!
