Okay, FFTBG deizens. We’re quickly approaching the ToC this Saturday. To that end, we need to come up with an awesome map list for the event! I decided to give the first crack and map selection (for the first round matches) to our ascended elites. Because there’s only three, I awarded the final map choice as a reward for getting a Black Goblin in yesterday, which was won by Sypheck. These four maps will be shuffled before the actual event, but our first-round maps will be: 96) Pub (chosen by @neph ) 39) Underground Passage in Goland (chosen by @Lodrak ) 57) Underground Book Storage First Floor (chosen by @ImTowel ) 49) Fort Zeakden (chosen by @Sypheck ) I’ve already selected the following map for the finals to be played: 55) Graveyard of Airships So that just leaves the two semi-finals matches (well, and the “champion fight” but that will just be a meme battle probably for this first one). I wanted this to be a community voting effort, but I needed two people to pick out some maps so I awarded this honor to @tiko and @SirBraneDamuj , the two most devoted #development people who contributed great tools for the community (https://fftbg.com/ and https://mustad.io/ respectively). Fine… you guys have complained about it enough, let’s just see the reprecussions of this change. Equip Bow, Equip Gun, Equip Knife, Equip Sword, Equip Axe, and Equip Polearm now guarentee you a weapon of that category. Ninjas are guarenteed at least one, and (in the case of Equip Knife, Equip Sword, and Equip Axe) their other weapon can be from either their Equip passive or normal weapon pool (the order of the weapons can be either though). This change affects normal random characters and characters forcing the abilities, the result is the same. Martial Arts has not been changed, it still only has a chance to make you bare-handed, as Marital Arts can still benefit characters with weapons (increasing their damage if their weapon is removed as well as boosting the Punch Art abilities). Forcing Martial Arts will still increase your odds of being bare-handed. Get your Wicks ready, I suppose.(edited)

Similarly, Equip Armor will now remove one of your normal Armor types from your equipable items list, all but guarenteeing you’ll roll at least one armor you wouldn’t otherwise with this ability.
